VisualDOC is VR&D's multidiscipline design studies and process integration software. It can be coupled with any analysis program to run design studies such as Optimization, DOE, meta-modeling, sensitivity analysis, etc & has interfaces to commercial programs including Ansys, Moldex3D, ANSA, META, Adams Car, among others. This webinar will introduce VisualDOC and demonstrate its capabilities using Ansys and Moldex3D interfaces.
About the Speaker
Dr. Phani Adduri is a Technical Support Manager at Vanderplaats Research and Development, inc and has been working with VR&D for 12 years. In this role, he is primarily responsible for support and training for VR&D software solutions which include a suite of both structural and multi-disciplinary optimization products.
Introduction of the structural optimization software GENESIS and Design Studio

This webinar will offer a brief overview of structural optimization and describe, with some detail, the GENESIS structural optimization software along with some of the new features of the latest version. Unique capabilities of the Design Studio for GENESIS graphical pre/post-processor will also be featured. The presentation will include several examples that will give the attendees an idea of the kinds of problems which can be solved in the industry today.

Introduction of the structural optimization software GSAM for Ansys Mechanical

This webinar describes GSAM (GENESIS Structural Optimization for ANSYS Mechanical) which is an integration of the structural optimization software GENESIS® with ANSYS® Mechanical. This software brings the GENESIS optimization capabilities to the ANSYS environment.
GENESIS itself is a fully integrated FEA analysis and optimization software. The analysis types that GENESIS can optimize for include: static, modal, thermal, harmonic and random vibration. GENESIS optimization capabilities include topology, sizing, topometry, shape, topography and freeform.
With sizing and topometry the user can design cross-sectional dimensions of bars or beams, thickness of plates or shells and others. With topography or freeform optimization the user can generate optimal bead patterns or rib patterns on the surface of the parts.
The presentation will give a brief introduction of the main functionalities of GSAM/GENESIS, and give live demos to demonstrate the usability of GSAM.
