ABOUS US
At INAS, we strongly believe that design and simulation tools are a "must have" in the industry, offering multiple benefits that significantly contribute to the optimization of product development processes. For this reason, we are committed to further support the Romanian industry in its digitalization efforts.
We have established the Radu Țîrcomnicu Center of Excellence in Design and Simulation with the aim of continuing and expanding the vision of the founder of INAS for innovation and technological excellence. The mission of this center is to facilitate connections among users by disseminating the latest technologies in the industrial and academic environments. In addition, the center aims to help talented young people develop technical skills in design and simulation, preparing them for successful careers.
All this will be achieved through various partnerships and physical or virtual events aimed at companies, research institutes and universities. In this way, we are committed to promoting innovation and technological excellence, actively contributing to the progress of industry and education in Romania.
IN MEMORIAM - RADU ȚÎRCOMNICU
Radu Tircomnicu was born on December 1, 1957, in Craiova, Romania. A graduate of the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at Politehnica University of Bucharest, he was an exceptional engineer who dedicated his life to advancing technology in Romania. In the 1980s, he developed a strong interest in finite element method (FEM) simulations and initiated the development of codes in this field.
Following the Revolution in the spring of 1991, Radu founded INAS, which has continued to flourish and achieve success to the present day. In the same year, INAS became a partner of ANSYS, marking the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration. The company's development continued with the formation of significant partnerships, including those with PTC in 1993, Magmasoft in 1994, and, in 1998, a successful collaboration with Ford Motor Company, for which INAS created a dedicated team of simulation engineers.
On April 15, 2000, Radu Tircomnicu tragically lost his life in a car accident.
Radu Tircomnicu's story is an extraordinary one, serving as a testament to vision and determination during challenging times for Romania. In a period marked by chaos and uncertainty, he was able to implement cutting-edge technologies in the Romanian industry of the 1990s.
